Kalagni:
The Fire of Time
T
What is Kalagni?
Kalagni means the fire of time.
The fire through which forests regenerate.
The fire through which grief becomes wisdom.
The fire through which old identities loosen and new possibilities emerge.
The fire through which lineages travel from one generation to the next.
In the tantric traditions from which our work emerges, fire has long been understood as a participant in transformation.
Fire receives. Fire releases. Fire carries offerings beyond the boundaries of the visible.
Kalagni points toward a similar movement within human life.
Again and again, life invites us into encounters that exceed our existing stories.
Our work is devoted to creating ritual containers that help people remain in relationship with those encounters.
Through pilgrimage, mantra japa, yantra, yajña, and other lineage-based ritual technologies,
we cultivate conditions in which deeper forms of participation become possible.
We do not approach ritual as performance.
We approach ritual as relationship.
Relationship with divine forces.
Relationship with the body.
Relationship with spiritual community.
Relationship with ancestry.
Relationship with mystery.
Relationship with the vast intelligence moving through all things.
Kalagni exists in service of that relationship.
